BioChar® Seed Compost
This peat free seed compost is the perfect growing medium to get your seeds off to a flying start. Proven to deliver faster germination, it’s a fine, light blend of organic coir and Carbon Gold’s unique Biochar formulation to give stronger, healthier root systems which ‘take more quickly when potting on.
New range of BioChar fertilisers, soil improvers and composts contain no peat and is Soil Association approved. The key ingredient is Biochar, a form of highly porous ‘super charcoal’ which naturally helps improve soil structure, enhances soil fertility and boosts soil health. It doesn’t decompose and provides the perfect habitat for mycorrhizal fungi, actinomycetes bacteria and other beneficial soil organisms to thrive.
Biochar is enriched with mycorrhizal fungi, seaweed, and wormcasts to increase trace minerals, add good bacteria and maximise nutrient uptake. For orders containing a mix of seed and non-seed items a combined P&P charge (£7.40 - £2.45 to cover the seed items and £4.95 to cover the cost of non-seed items) will apply.
