A versatile shrub also known as a 'Mock Orange' for the sweet citrus scent of its flowers. This striking variety is most widely grown for its vibrant golden yellow leaves, as well as its free flowering displays of deliciously fragrant white blooms which appear from late spring into early summer. The foliage is especially eye-catching, and welcome, when new leaves first appear in the spring. A winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its exceptional displays, reliability and outstanding garden performance. Easy to maintain, Philadelphus will grow well in most garden situations including poor soils and make a great addition to the back of any sunny border.
