An attractive, neatly formed and compact shrub with small purple leaves, highlighted by a narrow margin of gold at the edge. The leaves then turn a bright red in autumn. Displays a mass of pretty, pollen rich little flowers in summer, followed by little red berries which will feed hungry birds in autumn. Perfect for small, colourful hedges or planted individually to give long lasting interest. Winner of the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of garden Merit for outstanding garden performance.
