Indoor growing instructions In trays of seed compost. Sow thinly and cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Germination takes 14-28 days. Remove cover when seedlings appear and transplant 5cm apart in trays. Acclimatise plants to outdoor temperatures from late May before transplanting 40cm apart in final flowering position. Keep moist and weed free. Flowers July to October, the following year.
Outdoor growing instructions In a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart and cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. When large enough to handle thin to 10cm apart. Transplant 40cm apart in final flowering position from September to October. Flowers August to October, the following year.
Tip Once established divide plants in autumn or spring.
