Lavender French
An evergreen dwarf shrub with aromatic foliage and oval flower heads topped with charming tufts of purple bracts. Brilliant for borders or pots on the patio and adored by bees.

Early/Late Flowering:
Indoor growing instructions In pots or trays of moist compost. Sow thinly and cover lightly with fine compost. Firm gently, keep moist and cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 10-15°C. Germination takes 21-49 days. Remove cover when seedlings appear and transplant individually into 7.5cm pots. Acclimatise plants to outdoor temperatures from June onwards before transplanting 30cm apart in final flowering position in early autumn. Keep moist and weed free at all times. Flowers June to September, the following year.
Tip Plants in containers can be overwintered in a cool greenhouse or cold frame.
Note Hardy to approx. -5°C. In cold winters protect plants with a mulch, cloche or straw.
