Indoor growing instructions In trays of seed compost, sow thinly and cover with a fine layer of compost, firm gently and keep moist. Place in a cold frame or cool greenhouse. Germination takes 21- 42 days. When large enough transplant singly to 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor temperatures from June onwards before transplanting 30cm apart in final flowering position.
Outdoor growing instructions In a prepared seed bed, sow thinly, in rows 30cm apart and cover with a fine layer of soil. Firm gently and keep moist. When large enough thin to 5cm apart. Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position from September to October.
Tip Will often self-seed where happy, for new plants the following year.
