Indoor growing instructions In trays of seed compost, sow thinly and cover with a fine layer of compost, firm gently and keep moist. Place in a cold frame or cool greenhouse. Germination takes 21- 42 days. When large enough transplant singly to 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor temperatures from June onwards before transplanting 30cm apart in final flowering position. Flowers May to July, the following year.
Outdoor growing instructions In a prepared seed bed, sow thinly, in rows 30cm apart and cover with a fine layer of soil. Firm gently and keep moist. When large enough thin to 5cm apart. Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position from September to October. Flowers May to July, the following year.
Tip Will often self-seed where happy, for new plants the following year.
