Indoor growing instructions In trays of seed compost, sow thinly and cover with a very fine layer of compost. Firm gently, keep moist and cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Germination takes 14-28 days. Remove cover when seedlings appear and transplant when large enough, 5cm apart in trays. Acclimatise plants to outdoor temperatures from late May and transplant 25cm apart in flowering position.
Tip Trim plants back as flowers fade, for a second flush. In warmer regions or light sandy soils the plants will usually overwinter to flower again the following year.
