A particular favourite and top performer is Salvia nemorosa Caradonna - it's tough, easy to grow and has great all-round versatility. The dramatic flower spikes of indigo blue are complemented by the dark purple stems and lush, deep green foliage.
Prefers a position in full sun in well-drained soil.
