Single Dahlias

Single flowered dahlias are so beautiful and are one of the best for attracting bees and butterflies with fewer petals and open flowers it's easier for pollinating insects to access the pollen and nectar. The petals can be rolled pointed or rounded and consist of a single row of petals (ray florets) around a core of disc florets. The foliage is often dark and acts as a good foil for the flowers.Very abundant self-supporting and well-branched they work well in the border as well as in pots on the patio.Plant in fertile well-drained but moist soil in full sun.
